I've never made or used a pinhole camera myself but I've seen some pretty clever and creative ones - coffins, pumpkins, matchboxes, Legos... But
Wayne Martin Belger has created arguably the coolest collection of
pinhole cameras I've ever seen. They're works of art in themselves. Each camera is designed and crafted with a specific subject or project in mind and usually includes components or adornment related to that subject. In the case of the
Heart camera to record people suffering with HIV, real, HIV+ blood is included not only as decoration, but is run over the pinhole to act as a red filter. Awesome...
